Press Release Regarding the Visit by His Excellency Jan Kavan, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Afaairs of the Czech Republic April 6, 2001

The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic H. E. Jan Kavan will pay an official visit to Turkey between 10-12 April, 2001 in return to the visit of H.E. Minister Cem to Prague in 1999.

The official talks between the delegations, headed by the two Ministers will be held in Ankara on 11 April. At he talks, Turkish-Czech relations as well as regional and international issues will be taken up.

On the same day, he visiting Minister will be received by the Speaker of the Parliament H.E. Ömer Izgi the Prime Minister, H.E. Bülent Ecevit and will also meet the Deputy Prime Minister H.E. Devlet Bahçeli.

On 12 April, H. E. Jan Kavan and his delegation will travel to Istanbul to have meetings with the officials of the Foreign Economic Relations Council and the Black Sea Cooperation Organization. The Czech Delegation will depart from Turkey on the same day.
