Foreign Minister Çavuşoğlu paid a visit to Uzbekistan on 18-19 October 2016 to participate in the 43rd Session of the Council of Foreign Ministers (CFM) of the OIC.

During the meeting in addition to monitoring the implementation of the decisions taken at the 13th Islamic Summit Conference, issues of significance for Turkey and the Islamic World were discussed. As well as addressing the Foreign Ministers of OIC member states as the Chair of the OIC Summit, which Turkey has assumed by hosting the 13th Islamic Summit Conference in İstanbul on 14-15 April 2016, Foreign Minister Çavuşoğlu also held various meetings including a bilateral one with the Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan. Furthermore, Foreign Minister Çavuşoğlu attended the events held during the CFM Session and shared our views and vision regarding the issues that are of concern to the Muslim world.

Stating that he is grateful to OIC member states that showed solidarity against the heinous coup attempt on 15 July and FETO, Foreign Minister Çavuşoğlu expressed his thanks to OIC for its announcement of FETO as a terrorist organization following the meeting.
