NO:57 - 21 April 2008, Press Release Regarding the 14th Session of the Turkish-German Cooperation Council (TAİK) in Ankara (Unofficial Translation)

The 14th Session of the Turkish-German Cooperation Council (TAİK) will be held in Ankara on 24-25 April 2008 between the two delegations headed by Ambassador Ertuğrul Apakan, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey and Mr. Reinhard Silberberg, State Secretary of the German Federal Foreign Office.

High level representatives from relevant Ministries/institutions, the private sector and professional associations will participate in the TAIK meetings, where discussions will take place on subjects falling under four working groups relating to cooperation in the areas of “Industry and Investment”, “Trade”, “Tourism” and “Science, Research and Technology”.

Furthermore, within the framework of TAİK, bilateral political consultations headed by Undersecretary Apakan and State Secretary Silberberg will be held. The political consultations are expected to encompass bilateral relations, Turkey-EU relations and other current regional and international issues.
