The terrorist attack in Jamrud town of Khyber Agency of Pakistan today (27 March) during a Friday prayer, which according to the initial reports killed 48 and injured 90, has caused deep sorrow and concern.

The loss 9 policemen as a result of an abhorrent terrorist attack against a police checkpoint in Helmand Province of Afghanistan and the attack at a restaurant killing 10 people and injuring 23 in Jandola town of South Waziristan Agency of Pakistan yesterday (March 26) are other sources of grief.

Considering terrorism as a common enemy of humankind, Turkey stands in solidarity with the Pakistani and Afghan people, and shares the grief of her brothers. We strongly condemn all these attacks.

Turkey once more reiterates that she, as always, will continue to do her utmost to provide assistance for the assurance of peace, prosperity and security of the brotherly Pakistani and Afghan people.
