Minister of Foreign Affairs Ali Babacan will attend the Islamic Conference Organisation (OIC) meetings which will begin on 10 March 2008 in Senegal. The meetings will be at Minister of Foreign Affairs level on 10-11 March, and Heads of State and Government level on 13-14 March. The Minister will have bilateral talks with a number of other Ministers on the margins of the Summit. During these discussions views will be exchanged on bilateral matters, as well as on regional and international issues.

Before the OIC meetings, on 9 March the Minister will pay an official visit to Mauritania, at the invitation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of Mauritania. This will be the first high level visit between the two countries.
