The abhorrent terrorist attack that took place on March 16, 2009, in the city of Rawalpindi of brotherly Pakistan, which claimed at least 9 lives and injured 20 people has caused deep sorrow and concern.

Turkey, being always in solidarity with Pakistan, condemns in the strongest terms this heinous terrorist attack that constitutes a crime against humanity.

We sincerely believe that brotherly Pakistan, with the unity of all segments of the society and their common will, is capable of giving the necessary response to the terrorists.

Turkey will always continue to stand by Pakistan in its fight against terrorism.
