President of the Republic of Senegal Abdoulaye Wade, accompanied by a delegation, will pay an official visit to Turkey on February 18-20, 2008.

President Wade will hold talks with President Abdullah Gül on February 19. He will also meet the Speaker of the Turkish Grand National Assembly Köksal Toptan and receive Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

During the meetings to be held on the occasion of this visit, there will be an exchange of views on Turkish-Senegal bilateral relations, subjects relating to the 11th Session of the Islamic Summit Conference to be held in Dakar on 13-14 March 2008, and regional issues.

President Wade and his delegation will go to Istanbul for further contacts on February 20, and will depart from Turkey the same day.
