No:206 - 27 November 2008, Press Release Regarding the Terrorist Attacks in Mumbai, India

Turkey strongly condemns the despicable terrorist attacks which occurred in the city of Mumbai in India yesterday (November 26), and caused the death of more than one hundred and the injury of more than two hundred fifty innocent people.



Following the still ongoing terrorist attacks, Excellencies the President, the Prime Minister and the Minister of Foreign Affairs have conveyed messages of condolences to their esteemed Indian counterparts.



Considering terror as the common enemy of the humankind, Turkey stands in solidarity with the Indian Republic and the Indian people against this scourge, and shares their grievance and outrage.



We convey our condolences to the Indian people and particularly the families of those who lost their lives, and wish a speedy recovery to those who were injured during these loathsome terrorist attacks which aimed at the stability of India and the region.
