Turkey welcomes the recent efforts of the Government of Thailand for the initiation of a dialogue process to ensure an environment of peace regarding the current situation in the Southern Border Provinces of Thailand and, in this context, the signing of a document between the Secretary General of National Security Council of Thailand and a representative of the National Revolution Front (BRN) in Kuala Lumpur on 28 February 2013.

Turkey supports all efforts for the establishment of peace in the region and exerts efforts in this direction within the framework of the Organization of the Islamic Cooperation as well. In that vein, we wish for a successful conclusion of the recently initiated process.
