We welcome the holding of the parliamentary elections in Tunisia on 26 October 2014 in a peaceful and transparent atmosphere, which constitutes an important stage in the process of democratic transition following the adoption of the new constitution.

We believe that Tunisia, which carries out reforms with great maturity and in an admirable spirit of compromise that can serve as an example for the entire region, will complete the process of political transition by successfully holding the presidential elections in November.

Turkey will continue to support the friendly and brotherly Tunisian people whom Turkey has stood by from the beginning of the revolution process and developed cooperation at strategic level.
