No: 307, 2 December 2016, Press Release Regarding the Meeting of NATO Foreign Ministers

Minister of Foreign Affairs, H.E. Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, will attend the meeting of NATO Foreign Ministers in Brussels on December 6-7, 2016.

NATO Foreign Ministers, on this occasion, will discuss NATO’s efforts for projecting stability in a geography ranging from the Balkans to the Middle East, and the related challenges in this regard.

Ministers will focus on NATO-EU cooperation with the participation of High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, as well as Foreign Ministers of Sweden and Finland. At the working dinner, NATO’s relations with Russia will be discussed.

During the NATO-Ukraine Commission, Ministers will exchange views on the current security situation in Ukraine, the implementation of the Minsk Agreements and Ukraine’s relations with the Alliance

On the occasion of the Ministerial, a session will also be held with the Resolute Support Mission (RSM) operational partners and Afghanistan about the latest developments in the country.

Minister Çavuşoğlu is also expected to hold bilateral contacts in Brussels with his counterparts from Allied and Partner countries.
