We do not recognise the so-called National Salvation Government declared in Yemen by the Houthis and former President Ali Abdullah Saleh.

It is obvious that this illegitimate formation will not contribute to the efforts aimed at finding a lasting political solution to the problem in Yemen under the auspices of the United Nations.

Securing legitimate state authority throughout the country is essential for restoring the public order in Yemen. In this respect, it is necessary that the international community should focus its efforts on supporting legitimacy.
