We have learnt with great sorrow that an attack was perpetrated against the convoy of H.E. Abdul Rashid Dostum, First Vice President of Afghanistan who was on the way to Ghormach District of Faryab Province in order to conduct the security operations on 15 October and that consequently nine Afghan security officials lost their lives.

It is a consolation that First Vice President Dostum survived this attack without any injury.

We condemn this terror attack. We wish God’s mercy upon those who lost their lives in the attack, convey our condolences to the Government and people of Afghanistan and wish a prompt recovery to the wounded.
