We condemn the heinous attack carried out by Israel against the Shecaiye district of Gaza which is also historically important for Turkey, causing the death of more than 60 innocent people including children, the injury of nearly 400 and the displacement of some 35,000. We strongly denounce the above mentioned massacre, where cruelty has reached its climax in the collective punishment carried on by Israel against the people of Palestine. We wish God’s mercy upon our brothers who lost their lives in Shecaiye and wish a speedy recovery to the wounded.

Israel must immediately stop the attacks against the people of Palestine. A lasting ceasefire should be established between the parties as soon as possible. Turkey will maintain its unabated efforts toward ending the conflict and restoration of calm.
