The 26th Meeting of the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) was held in Belgrade on 11 June 2012.
Turkey attended the said meeting with a delegation headed by H.E. Ambassador Naci Koru, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs.
Discussions were held in the Meeting of the Council of Ministers on the Declaration that is foreseen to be adopted in the 20th Anniversary Summit of BSEC, on 26 June 2012 in Istanbul. Furthermore, the new Economic Agenda, which identifies the objectives of the Organization for the next ten years, was adopted for submission to the Summit.
During the meeting, H.E. Ambassador Victor Tvircun from Moldova was elected as the new Secretary General of the BSEC Permanent International Secretariat, which is located in Istanbul.
H.E. Ambassador Tvircun, who previously served as Minister of Education and Youth as well as Ambassador of Moldova in Ankara, will assume his duties as of 1 July 2012.
