We have learned with deep sorrow that more than 70 people lost their lives and about 250 people were injured in the terrorist bomb attacks perpetrated yesterday (10 June) in Mosul and several other cities in Iraq. We strongly condemn these terrorist attacks; wish God's mercy upon our Iraqi brothers who lost their lives in these attacks, convey our condolences to their bereaved families and wish a speedy recovery to the wounded.

We note with concern the ever worsening security situation in our neighbor Iraq in recent months and confirm once again that Turkey will maintain its solidarity with the brotherly Iraqi people in their fight against terrorism.

On this occasion, we wish that the provincial council elections to be held on 20 June in Mosul and Anbar will be realized in a peaceful, safe, and fair manner.
