The Meeting of Foreign Ministers of the Southeast European Cooperation Process (SEECP) will be held in Ohrid on 31 May 2013. Macedonia currently holds the rotating Presidency of the SEECP. Deputy Foreign Minister Ambassador Naci Koru will represent Turkey at the meeting.
The main items on the agenda of the SEECP Meeting of Ministers of Foreign Affairs are the current situation in the region and a review of EU perspectives of the countries in the region. At the end of the meeting, SEECP Presidency will pass to Romania for a period of one year.
Turkey attaches particular importance to the Balkans in its foreign policy and pursues with determination its efforts to contribute to the peace, stability and prosperity of the region. Turkey strongly supports the main objective of the countries in the region to integrate with European and Euro-Atlantic institutions and provides all kinds of contribution to this end.
