We vehemently condemn the brutal killings of innocent people who are reported to be Ethiopians by the terrorist organization DEASH. We extend our condolences to the families of those who lost their lives and to the people of Ethiopia.

This heinous act of terrorism has demonstrated once again that the authority vacuum in Libya should be filled as soon as possible with a consensual national unity government.

The success of the ongoing UN-facilitated inclusive dialogue process is also of crucial importance for Libya to fight effectively against terrorism.
