Foreign Minister Lesego Makgothi of Lesotho paid an official visit to Turkey on 20-22 Mart 2018.

The said visit constituted the first visit at the Foreign Ministerial level from Lesotho to Turkey.

On March 21, Wednesday, Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu met with Minister Makgothi.

During the meeting held between Minister Çavuşoğlu and his Mosothon counterpart Makgothi, common will to further develop Lesotho-Turkey relations in all fields were confirmed, and the Memorandum of Understanding on political consultations and training of diplomats between Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Turkey and Lesotho were signed.

With 41 Embassies throughout Africa, Turkey will also open an Embassy in the capital of Lesotho, Maseru.
