Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration Leonard She Okitundu of the Democratic Republic of Congo paid an official visit to Turkey on 24 November 2017.

At the meeting between Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu and his counterpart Okitundu ways to improve Turkey - Democratic Republic of Congo relations in various fields including diplomacy, agriculture, tourism, health, education and trade were discussed.

During the visit, Agreement Concerning Mutual Abolition of Visas for Holders of Diplomatic Passports and Memorandum of Understanding for Cooperation between the Diplomacy Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey and Diplomacy Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration of the Democratic Republic of Congo were signed by two Ministers.
