The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Kudret Özersay of the TRNC is paying a working visit to Turkey on 15-17 October, 2018.

On Tuesday, October 16, Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu and his counterpart attended together the opening of a symposium on “Law and Politics in the Eastern Mediterranean” at the Faculty of Political Sciences, Ankara University. At the symposium the Ministers discussed regional problems and the Cyprus issue and answered students’ questions. Minister Çavuşoğlu emphasized that the settlement of the Cyprus issue is essential for peace, welfare and stability in the Eastern Mediterranean.

Minister Çavuşoğlu and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Kudret Özersay of the TRNC have evaluated next steps in Eastern Mediterranean at their meeting after the symposium. Minister Çavuşoğlu emphasized that our country will always continue to stand by Turkish Cypriots under all circumstances and do its part to ensure peace, stability and welfare in the Island.
