Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Ahmet Davutoğlu met with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, Mr. Khalid bin Mohammad Al Attiyah who paid a working visit to Turkey on August 2, 2014.

Joint efforts for establishing ceasefire in Gaza were evaluated and other issues related to the Middle East, as well as bilateral relations were be discussed during the meeting.

Ministers particularly exchanged views on steps which can be taken with a view to establishing calm and defusing the tension in Gaza following Israel's assaults on Gaza.

After their meeting Ministers also held a teleconference with U.S. Secretary of State, Mr. John Kerry.
