Foreign Minister Davutoğlu holds bilateral meetings in Jeddah

On the sidelines of the 41th Meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the OIC Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Ahmet Davutoğlu held bilateral meetings in Jeddah.

Within this framewok, Foreign Minister Davutoğlu met with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia, Prince Saud Al Faisal Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Khalid Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, Dr. Khalid Bin Mohammed Al Attiyah, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of Morocco, Salaheddin Mezouar, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iraq, Hoshyar Zebari, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran, Morteza Sarmadi and Special Representative of the UN for Iraq, Nikolay Mladenov.

During the meetings, developments in the region, especially in Iraq and cooperation in fight against terrorism were discussed.

At his meeting with the Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Sheikh Al-Sabah, Foreign Minister Davutoğlu thanked Kuwait for their friendly cooperation during the evacuation of Turkish Consulate in Basra.

Foreign Minister Davutoğlu asked Iraqi Foreign Minister Zebari with whom he exchanged views on the security conditions in Iraq to take measures for the security of Turkish citizens in the country and the Turkish Embassy.
