Foreign Minister Davutoğlu held bilateral meetings within the framework of the Geneva II Conference

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Ahmet Davutoglu who is in Montreux to attend the Geneva II Conference held bilateral meetings with Foreign Minister of Germany Frank Walter Steinmeier, Foreign Minister of the Netherlands Holger K. Nielsen, Foreign Minister of Qatar Khalid Bin Mohammed Al Attiyah and Foreign Secretary of the United Kingdom William Hague.

An overall assessment in light of the Geneva II Conference was made and steps which are required to be taken on Syria in the forthcoming period were reviewed during the meetings.

In this context, it was emphasized that the content of the regime’s speech, particularly the fact that establishment of a Transitional Governing Body which is the main objective of the Geneva II process was not touched upon is disappointing with regard to the future of the process.
