Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mevlüt Çavuşoğu met with President of the European Parliament Martin Schulz on 8 April 2015 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

At the meeting in which the Turkey-EU relations were extensively reviewed, Foreign Minister Çavuşoğlu expressed his happiness with the reciprocal high level visits that took place recently between Turkey and the EU.

Foreign Minister Çavuşoğlu stated that we expect new chapters to open in our accession negotiations and underlined the importance we attribute to the visa dialogue. At the meeting, recent developments in Cyprus and Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership issues were also brought up.
