Foreign Minister Çavuşoğlu received more than 60 telephone calls from his counterparts around the world as of 26 July after the failed coup attempt on 15 July 2016. In the telephone calls, Foreign Minister Çavuşoğlu’s counterparts expressed their support to democracy and the elected government in Turkey as well as their solidarity with Turkey, and stressed that the coup attempt is unacceptable. Foreign Minister Çavuşoğlu expressed his thanks to his counterparts for their support and solidarity on behalf of the government and the Turkish people.
