Foreign Minister Çavuşoğlu, who paid a visit to the US to participate in the 71st session of the UN General Assembly, continued to attend a series of meetings and events on 22-23 September 2016.

Foreign Minister Çavuşoğlu co-chaired the Ministerial Meeting of the Group of Friends of Mediation, and attended the event for the presentation of UNSG’s report on outcomes of the World Humanitarian Summit held in İstanbul as well as the opening ceremony of the exhibition of “One Humanity” mural created during the World Humanitarian Summit.

Foreign Minister Çavuşoğlu also attended the Meeting of Foreign Ministers on Libya, the Meeting of Foreign Ministers of MIKTA, the Meeting of Foreign Ministers of OIC, Syria Support Group Meeting, the Trilateral Meeting of Foreign Ministers of Turkey-Bosnia and Herzegovina-Serbia as well as the Trilateral Meeting of Foreign Ministers of Turkey-Bosnia and Herzegovina-Croatia. Foreign Minister Çavuşoğlu made a speech at the event hosted by Global Policy Institute, and attended the BSEC Foreign Ministers Meeting, CELAC Quartet-Turkey Foreign Ministers Meeting and UNAOC Group of Friends Ministerial Meeting.

Foreign Minister Çavuşoğlu was also received by TRNC President, and met with the Foreign Ministers of Georgia, Ethiopia, Argentina, Trinidad and Tobago, Algeria, Tunisia, Turkmenistan, Mongolia, Dominican Republic and Guyana.

On 24 September, Foreign Minister Çavuşoğlu attended the official opening ceremony of the Turkish Consulate General in Miami, and met with the representatives of Turkish-American community in Miami.
