Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu received Special Advisor of UN Secretary-General on Cyprus, Mr. Espen Barth Eide, on 13 August 2015.

In the meeting Special Advisor of UN Secretary General on Cyprus informed Foreign Minister Çavuşoğlu of the negotiation process carried out under the auspices of the UN Good Offices Mission and thanked Turkey for the support it extends to the settlement of the Cyprus issue.

Foreign Minister Çavuşoğlu stated that Turkey’s commitment to a fair and comprehensive settlement which will guarantee Turkish Cypriots’ political equality and legal rights will continue.
