Foreign Minister Çavuşoğlu participated in the 34th meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Organization of Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) held in Sochi, Russia on 1 July 2016. In the meeting, issues related to regional economic cooperation on BSEC’s agenda as well as ongoing work on institutional reform were discussed. Foreign Minister Çavuşoğlu shared Turkey's vision on BSEC in the meeting.

On the occasion of the meeting of the Council of Ministers, Foreign Minister Çavuşoğlu had a bilateral meeting with Foreign Minister Lavrov of the Russian Federation on mutual steps to be taken in the normalization process of bilateral relations. He also met with Foreign Minister Galbur of Moldova and Foreign Minister Mitov of Bulgaria.
