Minister of Foreign Affairs Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu met with Secretary of State John Kerry on April 21, 2015 within the framework of his contacts in Washington.

Bilateral and regional issues were discussed in detail during the meeting.

In the the talks between delegations held after the joint press remarks, latest developments in Syria, steps to be taken for combatting DEASH more effectively, prevention of foreign terrorist fighters, the situation in Iraq, Iran nuclear talks, energy, 1915 events and Cyprus issues were brought to the agenda.

In the meeting, views were also exchanged on regional issues such as Libya, Yemen, Ukraine.
