Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu paid an official visit to Saudi Arabia on November 6, 2014 upon the invitation of the Foreign Minister of Saudi Arabia, Prince Saud Al Faisal.

At the meetings held during the visit, bilateral relations between the two friendly and brotherly countries with deep-rooted relations, and current regional and international issues were reviewed.

The Foreign Ministers exchanged views aimed at developing economic relations in addition to political relations. They emphasized the need for more frequent meeting of business people in many areas, especially mutual investments and defence industry.

Stating that they also had the opportunity to exchange views on regional issues, Foreign Minister Çavuşoğlu said that they discussed the developments in Syria and Iraq, DAESH and other terrorist organizations, the Asad regime in Syria and how to deal with these issues.

Foreign Minister Çavuşoğlu expressed that Israel is blocking every step towards a solution which demonstrate that Israel does not side with peace, he called for the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation and the United Nations to play an active role against Israel’s acts of violence.
