Foreign Minister Çavuşoğlu is in Sarajevo

Minister of Foreign Affairs Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu is paying an official visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina upon the invitation of Igor Crnadak, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina on 29-30 April 2015.

During the visit, where all aspects of bilateral relations are being reviewed, Foreign Minister Çavuşoğlu was received by the Members of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Chairman of the Council of Ministers as well as the Collegium of the House of Peoples and the House of Representatives and held a tete-a-tete meeting and a meeting between the delegations with Foreign Minister of Bosnia and Herzegovina Igor Crnadak.

Speaking at the joint press conference held following the meetings, Foreign Minister Çavuşoğlu stated that they have agreed to make an effort to further improve economic ties, as well as the political relations which can be defined as excellent.

Underlining that Turkey supports both NATO and EU membership processes of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Foreign Minister said that Bosnia & Herzegovina’s assuming the Council of Europe Presidency at the beginning of May is a historical and an important responsibility.

Within the framework of Foreign Minister’s visit, the preparations for the Sarajevo visit of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in the upcoming weeks were also reviewed.
