Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu paid a one-day visit to Munich on 7 May 2015. On the occasion of his visit, Minister Çavuşoğlu, met with the Consuls General serving in Germany and Austria and reviewed the latest preparations for the 2015 parliamentary elections for which the voting will start abroad on 8 May.

On the occasion of the visit, a new communication portal “My Homeland/Memleketim” was launched in order to provide better service to our citizens living abroad, which was set up with the contributions of different Ministries.

Through the portal “My Homeland” it will be possible to host our youngsters who are living abroad in the youth camps and to give lessons on Turkish language and culture to our children with distance learning technique in order to teach Turkish more effectively.

In the portal “My Homeland” in addition to various services such as e-library and the opportunity of apprenticeship and career opportunities in the public instutitions and companies, also a social networking website called Postman (Postacı) is put into service of the members.
