Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu met with Turkish Consuls General serving in Western Europe on 6 February 2015 in Berlin, Germany.

Head of Supreme Electoral Council Mr. Güven, Deputy President of the Presidency of Turks Abroad and Related Communities Mr. Dönmez and Director General of Ministry of National Education External and EU Relations Department Mr. Yediyıldız also attended the meeting.

Within the framework of the meeting that was held at the Turkish Embassy in Berlin, consular issues and the problems that are encountered by the Turkish citizens living abroad were discussed. Foreign Minister Çavuşoğlu stated that they also exchanged views on the increasing xenophobia and Islamophobia in Europe, educational issues, youth Exchange programs and elections that will be held abroad.

Following the meeting, Foreign Minister Çavuşoğlu met with the umbrella organizations of the Turkish NGOs in Germany.
