Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu visited Azerbaijan on 4-5 April 2018 upon the invitation of Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov of Azerbaijan to participate in the Ministerial Conference of the Non-Aligned Movement held in Baku.

On April 5, Thursday, Minister Çavuşoğlu delivered a speech at the Ministerial Conference. During his speech, Minister Çavuşoğlu reminded of Turkey’s “The World is Bigger than Five” motto with referral to the necessity to reform the United Nations and restructuring of the Security Council.

Minister Çavuşoğlu also stated at his speech that Turkey is decisively fighting against various terrorist organizations such as FETO, PKK/PYD/YPG and DEASH; all terror organizations are the same; there is no “good terror organization”; and that all countries must adopt this approach.

During the bilateral meetings held between Minister Çavuşoğlu and his Laotian, Ecuadorian, Nepalese and Venezuelan counterparts, as well as Jordan’s Minister of State for Media Affairs, views were exchanged on bilateral relations and global issues.
