Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu paid a visit to Tashkent on 27 March 2018, in order to participate in the “Tashkent Conference on Afghanistan” hosted by Uzbekistan.

At his address to the Conference Minister Çavuşoğlu expressed Turkey’s support to all efforts towards a lasting peace and stability in Afghanistan and that Turkey will always stand by its Afghan brothers and sisters.

During the Conference Minister Çavuşoğlu also held meetings with President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Foreign Minister of Krygzstan Erlan Abdıldayev and Foreign Minister of Pakistan Khawaja Muhammad Asif.
