Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu paid an official visit to Jordan on 18-19 February 2018 upon the invitation of Foreign Minister Ayman Al Safadi.

On Sunday, February 18, Minister Çavuşoğlu came together with Turkish citizens who live in Jordan.

On Monday, February 19, Minister Çavuşoğlu and his Jordanian counterpart Al Safadi exchanged views on bilateral relations as well as important developments in the Middle East, including Syria and Palestine.At the meeting, steps to be taken to upgrade Turkey-Jordan cooperation in all fields, such as reaching the common goal of increasing the trade volume to 3 billion USD were evaluated.

Following the meeting, two Ministers held a joint press conference.

Minister Çavuşoğlu met with King Abdullah II of Jordan. At the meeting, the importance of exemplary cooperation between Turkey and Jordan on Jerusalem and other important regional issues were underlined.
