President Erdoğan paid an official visit to Jordan on 21 August 2017. Foreign Minister Çavuşoğlu accompanied President Erdoğan during his visit.

President Erdoğan was welcomed with an official ceremony by King Abdullah II of Jordan at Al Husseiniye Palace in Amman.

President Erdoğan held a bilateral meeting with King Abdullah II. At the meeting between the delegations Turkey-Jordan cooperation and regional issues were discussed.

President Erdoğan also received Speaker of Jordan Senate Faisal Fayez and Speaker of the House of Representatives Atef Tarawneh.

During the visit Foreign Minister Çavuşoğlu met with his counterpart Minister Ayman Safadi of Jordan.
