Foreign Minister Çavuşoğlu paid a visit to the Philippines on 4-6 August 2017 to attend a series of events in the context of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Foreign Ministers’ Meeting.

Foreign Minister Çavuşoğlu attended the opening ceremony of Foreign Ministers’ Meeting of ASEAN on 5 August 2017.

The decision to launch Sectoral Dialogue Partnership between Turkey and ASEAN was taken on 5 August.

During the visit, Foreign Minister Çavuşoğlu also had bilateral talks with his counterparts from Cambodia, Brunei, Sri Lanka, Philippines, Singapore, Myanmar, Laos, Thailand and Russian Federation.
