Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu visited Moscow to attend the Trilateral Foreign Ministers Meeting on Syria, 28 April 2018

Foreign Ministers of Turkey, Russia and Iran, the guarantors of the Astana platform, held a meeting in Moscow on 28 April 2018.

In the Trilateral Meeting, Foreign Ministers evaluated Astana process and discussed steps that will be taken in the future. Minister Çavuşoğlu underlined that safeguarding Syria’s territorial integrity is the common objective.

On the sidelines of the Trilateral Meeting, Minister Çavuşoğlu also held bilateral meetings with his Iranian and Russian counterparts. Minister Çavuşoğlu and Foreign Minister Javad Zarif discussed Turkey - Iran bilateral cooperation in the fields of economy and tourism, and regional issues particularly the situation in Syria.

Minister Çavuşoğlu and his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov talked about Turkey – Russia relations and exchanged views on the situation in Syria.
