Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu visited Brussels to attend the NATO Foreign Ministers Meeting and to hold bilaterals on 4-5 December 2018.

On 4 December, Tuesday, Minister Çavuşoğlu stated that transatlantic bond is key to NATO and to collective security. Minister Çavuşoğlu stressed that as one of the largest contributors to NATO missions and operations, Turkey expects solidarity from the Alliance in all issues.

On 5 December, Wednesday, recent developments in the Western Balkans, in particular the membership process of Macedonia to the Alliance as the 30th member in line with its open door policy, bringing BosniaHerzegovina closer to NATO and Belgrade-Prishtina Dialogue were evaluated.
