Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu visited Azerbaijan to attend the 39th Meeting of the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) Organization, held in Baku on 14 December 2018.

During his speech at the meeting, Minister Çavuşoğlu stated that member states need to work to render BSEC, the most institutionalized, comprehensive and inclusive economic cooperation organization in our region, a more result and project-oriented organization.

Following the meeting, Minister Çavuşoğlu held separate meetings with President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov of the Russian Federation and executives of the World Union of Ahıska Turks.
