Foreign Minister Çavuşoğlu paid a visit to Pakistan on 28 February-1 March 2017 on the occasion of the 22nd ECO Council of Ministers (COM) and to accompany President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan who attended the 13th ECO Summit. At his statement at the 22nd Council of Ministers, Minister Çavuşoğlu underlined the importance of effective cooperation among ECO members.

During the 22nd Council of Ministers of ECO, Foreign Minister Çavuşoğlu met with Minister of Economy and Energy of TRNC, Sunat Atun.

President Erdoğan arrived in Islamabad to attend the 13th ECO Summit, on 28 February late in the evening, local time. Following his arrival in Islamabad, President Erdogan had a meeting with Ilham Aliyev, President of Azerbaijan.

In the margins of the 13th ECO Summit, President Erdoğan met with President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, President of Turkmenistan Gurbangulu Berdimuhamedov and President of Iran Hassan Rouhani on 1 March 2017. Foreign Minister Çavuşoğlu accompanied President Erdoğan during these meetings.
