Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu accompanied President Erdoğan during his visit to People's Republic of China, 12-15 May 2017

Foreign Minister Çavuşoğlu accompanied President Erdoğan who paid a visit to China between 12-15 May, to attend Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation.

On 13 May President Erdoğan held a bilateral meeting with President of China Xi Jinping. At the meeting, Turkey-China cooperation, as well as current regional and international issues were discussed.

President Erdoğan received Prime Ministers Tsipras of Greece, Sharif of Pakistan and Orban of Hungary, held talks with United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres and Prime Minister, President-Elect of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic.

On 13 May, Minister Çavuşoğlu signed "Agreement on Reciprocal Establishment of Cultural Centers" and Minister of Justice Bekir Bozdağ signed "Treaty on Extradition" between Turkey and China.

On 14 May, President Erdoğan delivered a statement at the opening session of the Belt and Road Forum and joined the traditional family photo.

On the margins of the Forum, President Erdogan met with President Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan and received Prime Minister Szydlo of Poland.

Upon the conclusion of his contacts in Beijing, President Erdoğan left on 15 May, for USA.
