Foreign Minister Çavuşoğlu accompanied President Erdoğan who paid a visit to Brussels to attend the Meeting of NATO Heads of State and Government held on 25 May 2017.

Following his visit to Italy, Minister Çavuşoğlu went to Brussels on 24 May and welcomed President Erdoğan.

President Erdoğan came together with the representatives of the Union of European Turkish Democrats (UETD) on 24 May 2017.

On 25 May, before the Summit, President Erdoğan had bilateral meetings with newly elected President of France, Emmanuel Macron, President of European Council, Donald Tusk, President of European Commission, Jean-Claude Juncker and President of European Parliament, Antonio Tajani.

President Erdoğan visited the new NATO Headquarters to attend the Meeting of Heads of State and Government and attended the ceremony marking the official handover of the new headquarters from host country Belgium to NATO.
