Foreign Minister Çavuşoğlu accompanies President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan during the visits to Gulf countries Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and Qatar on February 12-15, 2017.
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan was welcomed with a ceremony by King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa at the airport in Bahrain, the first stop of his visits, on 12 February 2017.
During the visit, President Erdoğan was decorated with the Medal of Sheikh Isa Bin Salman al-Khalifa, Bahrain’s highest national order, by King Al-Khalifa of Bahrain.
Following the ceremony, bilateral meeting and meeting between delegations were held. Afterwards, a variety of cooperation agreements between the two countries were signed in the presence of the two leaders. Thereafter, President Erdoğan attended the official dinner hosted by the King in the President’s honor.
During the visit which continued on 13 February , Foreign Minister Çavuşoğlu gave an interview to Bahrain TV and replied the questions on current issues.
President Erdoğan received Prime Minister of Bahrain, Prince Khalifa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa and Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa. Also, President Erdoğan addressed at the conference organized by the International Peace Institute MENA Office.
As part of his official visit, President Erdoğan visited Bahrain Al Fateh Mosque and Islamic Center as well as Qur'an Museum.
President Erdoğan concluded his visit to Bahrain by meeting with King al-Khalifa once again.
