Turkey- CELAC Relations

The Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC), launched in 2010, is a regional mechanism for political dialogue and cooperation. It is composed of 33 countries of Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC). Turkey regularly meets with the CELAC Quartet at Foreign Ministers level. The first Turkey-CELAC Troika (later became Quartet with the participation of the term-president of CARICOM) meeting was held on the margins of the 68th General Assembly Meeting of the UN in New York.

The last Turkey-CELAC Quartet Meeting was held on the margins of the 70th General Assembly Meeting of the UN in September 2015 in New York.
