BSEC Heads of State and Government will address the goals for the next 10 years in İstanbul.

20th Anniversary Summit of the Heads of State or Government of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) will be held in Istanbul on 26 June 2012. Turkey and Serbia will co-chair the Summit as the two consecutive Chairmen-in-Office of BSEC in 2012.

20th Anniversary Summit holds key for enhancing the efficiency and visibility of the BSEC as well as developing a new vision for the BSEC in light of the global and regional developments.

Heads of State and Government as well as Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Member States, Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Sectoral Dialogue Partners and Chairman/Secretary General of international and regional organizations were invited to the Summit.

Parallel activities will be organized for the parliamentarians, businessmen, academics, and representatives of the non-governmental organizations from Member States, national and international media representatives and other partners during the Summit.

BSEC Heads of State and Government will address the new “Economic Agenda Document” which will identify the goals of the BSEC for the next 10 years. “BSEC 20th Anniversary Summit Declaration” is also expected to be adopted.

As of 1 July 2012, Turkey will take over the Chairmanship-in-Office of the BSEC. Turkey played a pioneering role in the establishment of the BSEC and hosts the Permanent International Secretariat in İstanbul.
